Candace has been asked to speak at the American Distilling Institutes 2016 Spirits Conference on a panel about California ABC’s new Type 74 – Small Distiller’s License. When California’s AB-1295 passed last year, allowing direct consumer sales and taking the state from one of the most restrictive to one of the most liberated states of craft distillers, there was great rejoicing but, as the law goes into effect, the interpretation and implementation by the state’s ABC is different from what was anticipated, causing much frustration on the part of some DSPs who contributed heavily to lobbying effort
