The sale of alcohol is a privilege that comes with weighty responsibilities. Between the maze of compliance, the onslaught of contracts, the intricacies of hiring employees, the ongoing trademark wars, and everything else that might walk through your doors, Candace knows that the only thing you truly want to do, is brew. And she is here to help make that happen. Here at the Craft Beer Attorney, Candace aims to make herself available much like your brewery’s very own, personal in-house counsel. Focusing on the craft beer industry has allowed her to gain the specialized knowledge needed to keep your business running smoothly.
Candace understands that you will not always be able to see things coming and, more than anything, time is of the essence. This is why she offers a general counsel program that allows clients to call her and trouble-shoot a variety of issues, as they arise, for a low monthly fee. From creation, distribution, to sale, she is available to answer many questions at the drop of a hat. Furthermore, for those issues and questions requiring more in-depth legal action, her general counsel program comes with built-in discounts. This allows you to focus on what you love – making amazing beer.
For a flat monthly fee, CBA will provide: licensing needs; ABC and TTB compliance; contract review (including distribution); trademark filing and maintenance; and basic corporate and employment guidance. I will also assist with hiring and managing outside counsel when necessary – basically when something requires more expertise than I am able to provide. Each subscription will start with a full legal audit to assist in getting everything in order and on file. The higher subscription levels will include on-site time as well.
